Rubber sector – Riding the next cycle

Posted:  Sep 16, 2026

  • We expect SVR10 to remain elevated through the end of this year and break out to USD 2.8–3.0/kg in 2027 as extreme weather conditions could exacerbate supply shortages;
  • 2026 net profit (NP) of rubber companies is expected to increase by 92% yoy, driven by elevated rubber prices and land compensation. In 2027, NP is forecast to decline by 3% yoy due to a 36% yoy decline in land compensation income, while income from rubber latex and tree liquidation is expected to maintain growth of 6%/4% yoy, respectively;
  • We recommend POSITIVE rating on the rubber sector and favor GVR, TRC, and PHR for 2H2026–2027.
